Zeitgeist - The spirit of now

Flora’s Fringe in Spring

We’ve been very busy here since the last blog, with both mine and Amanda’s training moving along at a steady pace. Sophie Maccorquodale travelled up from London for a second training weekend, this time focusing on highlights. It’s brilliant to have a whole two days dedicated to training, and we definitely learned a lot. We’re always looking for models, for both cuts and colour, so if you know of anybody interested then point them in our direction! We also have a Facebook Training page on https://www.facebook.com/ZeitgeistHairTrainingSchool2011

Shortly after this weekend, we went along to Heptonstall Guides (aided by Debbie) to give them some advice on hair types, colour suitability, and just to answer any general questions they might have had about hair. We demonstrated a simple updo, hoping to show the Guides easy styles they could achieve at home. It was a lovely night that everybody enjoyed, and it was great to see the girls work together when it came to replicating the updos themselves.

It was really exciting to be part of a photoshoot collaboration with Chrissie from Hat Therapy. I loved watching everything going on, and of course acting as hair grip holder/tea maker/camera flash stand for the hard working team! If you want to see the product of all this hard graft, pictures from the day have been posted on our Facebook page on https://www.facebook.com/ZeitgeistHair11

After all this, it was great to unwind at Harrogate Baths – it’s difficult not to fall asleep in the hot room and on the comfy loungers, but the freezing cold plunge pool definitely woke us up! There was no lying about how brave we’d been either, what with the tell tale red marks showing how far we’d managed to wade in without chickening out . .

We’ve got another busy (and hopefully warmer!) month in store, so be sure to look out for our next blog, and keep checking the Facebook page for updates.
