November has been an exciting month for Zeitgeist as this is the month when we have welcomed Chris to the salon. He has fitted in perfectly, is really enjoying his time in Hebden (even with all this rain!) and has been creating some truly gorgeous colour and cuts. If you are wanting to revive a style or have a new look for Christmas, we still have appointments available, so please call us on 01422 844974 or book online at www.zeitgeisthair.com. It has also been an exciting month for me in matters of hair, as in an attempt to embrace my grey, Jane has started the process of lightening my barnet. So, a big thanks to her as she gently nudges me towards the wonderful world of grey!
The salon window has been decorated, names have been drawn out of a hat for our secret santa and Kaye has got down the presents she bought and wrapped in the spring. This can only mean one thing; Christmas is approaching fast. We are pleased to announce that in collaboration with Waterside gym we may have found you the perfect Christmas present for a friend or loved one or for yourself. For JUST £70, we have created a joint package where you will receive in January 1 months free peak gym membership, an induction with a trainer and a review, 4 HIIT or boxercise classes, as well as a gorgeous haircut at Zeitgeist. When calling to make your booking quote ‘present’ as restrictions will apply, but I think you will agree January has just brightened up considerably!
In Debbie news, she is very much on the mend as you will have noticed by the increase in quality and quantity of our social media posts! She is improving every day and even made it down to the salon to help with the Christmas window, we do hope you like it. I am now an expert on making spiced orange pomanders and dehydrating orange slices (this must have come under AOB in my job specification!) which has made the salon begin to smell a lot like Christmas. Big thanks to Chrissie from Hat Therapy for lending us the dehydrator, we are so lucky to be amongst such a generous business community here in Hebden Bridge. Debbie will be back in the salon in January (hurrah) but will return to begin with on slightly reduced hours; generally working Wednesday, Thursday and alternate Saturdays. Chris will also be staying with us in January to help Debbie as she returns to work.
In product news, we have had some gorgeous Christmas gift packs delivered from Bumble and bumble. The ‘Happy Holidays’ primer gift set, includes a full- size invisible oil primer and a travel size shampoo and conditioner all for only £22 (the price which you currently pay for the primer). We also have the bbcurl getaway travel pack which contains a travel sized curl primer, curl crème and invisible oil for just £19; perfect for anyone planning some winter sun.
In baking news, the spiced pumpkin cake with a maple syrup crumble topping was well received during the Hebden Bridge Pumpkin Festival, here is the link https://www.coop.co.uk/recipes/spiced-pumpkin-cake for anyone who fancies giving it a go next year. I hope to make something delicious and Christmassy for you when I am in on my December Saturday.
As well as Jane having to work her magic on slightly frazzled mother of four, she also had a very special task to perform last week. We were very privileged to have Santa coming to the salon with a request to make his beard the most perfect, snowy white and true to form Jane managed to do just (is there no end to that fabulous ladies’ talents!).
That’s all for now, it just remains to say we are all looking forward to seeing you in the salon during December.
Anne – Reception.
