Well here we are again, but hopefully we will only be away for a little while and we have everything crossed that we will be seeing you from the 3rd December onwards. We will keep you updated when we know more and there will be every possibility that some stylists and colourists will work extra days in December; so don’t worry, we will do our very best to accommodate you when we re-open.
We hope you have seen our Facebook posts where we have been sharing with you our favourite podcasts, books and things to watch. If you have seen my recommendation, I can guarantee it will make you happy listening to it (I’m not sure my face on the post reflected this or that the BBC will be contacting me anytime soon to ask if they can use it in their promotional literature!). We would really love to hear your recommendations, so either respond to a Facebook post or send them by email to firstname.lastname@example.org and I will include them in my next blog.
In Salon News, Mel will be working one Tuesday a month alongside her normal days of Wednesday or Thursday and Saturdays (apart from the first Saturday of every month). Jules will be adding every Tuesday and Thursday, plus one Sunday per month and would love to see you. Chris will be with us in December (mainly fuelling himself with mince pies and coffee); so as soon as we are able, we will be happy to book appointments for you.
In baking news, I haven’t made this cake yet, but it is definitely on my to-do list; ideal for those who are not huge fan of a densely fruited Christmas cake, but want to make something with Christmas flavourshttps://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2020/nov/07/benjamina-ebuehi-recipe-for-date-and-chocolate-christmas-cake. Our lovely client Ros has asked that I also include a savoury recipe in the blog, so as a person who always like to please and occasionally feels like she is running a canteen at home I was happy to oblige so here you go Ros: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/spiced-carrot-lentil-soup
