Zeitgeist - The spirit of now

Season’s Greetings 🎄

Posted December 21st, 2020 by admin

Hi everyone and welcome to the last blog of 2020; well what a year!! A big thank you to all of you for supporting us through our most unusual year at Zeitgeist; we really appreciate it. Thanks once again for adhering to all our guidelines, which have helped to make your visit to Zeitgeist a safe one. We have had a great December and I for one have appreciated the chance to come to work and see you all as it has felt like a little haven of normality! Our colourists and stylists have been making you all look fabulous and I know they have all enjoyed the opportunity to do so.

In Salon news, we have welcomed a new stylist and colourist Simone.  She has fitted right in and has demonstrated some beautiful work; she will be with us on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Here is an introduction to Simone in her own words:

Oh, hello! It’s so lovely to meet you!
I have moved to the UK a couple of years back now, at first venturing into working with my language skills -however, before that, back home in Germany I had been a hairdresser for over nine years, both cutting and colouring “the Sassoon way”.
With the end of last year (2019), I finally realised how much I have been missing our incredibly creative trade and started my “comeback”, which means months and months of getting back up to speed with all the latest tools and techniques and finding the right salon -and therefore, having the opportunity to join Debbie and her amazing Zeitgeist team exceeds all I could have hoped for!
I can’t wait having clients again and witnessing those moments when cut and colour are coming together in their beautiful entirety -a bob with a sharp little fringe and a two-tone tint, for example, a face-framing colour placement adding that certain “extra” to a one-length mane, or, if you’re more the multi-shades-of-blonde type, no worries, I love classic highlights and layers, too!
When not in the salon, you’d most probably find me buried in a book or my latest me-made-with-love sewing project.. swearing under my breath but never giving up!
And last, but not least, the “small print”:  Should I ever stop chatting to you mid-sentence during a cut, please, please bear with me, I’m just really concentrated on your new head of hair 😉 !

My final mention of 2021 goes to Beth, my job share (and my friend, Beth!!), you may have not seen much of her lately as she hasn’t been well but I am delighted to say is back with usand is looking great! Everyone is really pleased to have her back and you can rest assured, you will no longer see a flaccid cushion about the place!!

We wish you all a peaceful Christmas and a happy and healthy 2021! Thanks once more for your continued custom.
