I visited this salon last year when I was on holiday. I was thrilled with the way Olivia cut my hair, she was friendly and very professional and listened to how I wanted my hair cut and did exactly what I wanted. I live on the Wirral but everytime I am back in Hebden Bridge I visit Olivia. She is such a lovely young girl and so helpful and always offers good advice. Zeitgeist’s came highly recommended and having been a number of times now, it is not surprising. My colourist listens, advises and I am delighted with the result. My cut is fabulous. It can be left to dry naturally or styled and looks and feels great. The whole experience is welcoming, calm, attentive and relaxing. I would highly recommend.

I was made extremely welcome, Beth and Debbie were very friendly, great haircut, Debbie had a long chat before she started on my hair she listened to what I thought I wanted. I left a very happy customer, it’s now 3 days since my haircut and all I have done is put my hands through my hair and its back in shape. Yipee.

After reading the reviews about Zeitgeist Hair I decided to trety myself to a quality haircut. I have not had my hair cut for 12 months due to a house move so it needed some love and attention. Everyone was super friendly and not at all “posh” which was a bit of a worry..a lot of these quality salons are full of personnel all in black and VERY young. I am happy to say everyone I saw were who I would class as “normal” like the girl next door and quickly put me completely at ease. Best of all I had a beautiful cut and can honestly say it was the best cut I have had for years…I shall certainly return.

Had a brilliant experience with Mel at Zeitgeist last week. Despite my hair already being quite short Mel was able to really understand my hair type and condition, resulting in a fabulous cut. Not only was the final outcome divine but I really enjoyed the process itself. Mel took such care to cut well, to the shape of my head and the texture of my hair. Many hairdressers just seem to ‘cut’ almost without thinking and almost in blocks, so that the style soon disappears with hair growth, weather and the like. I felt that every hair on my head had been paid attention. Lovely. This despite me mixing up my appointment time and missing the original one. No bother. Thank you, Mel and all at Zeitgeist, I’ll be back for sure!

Zeitgeist is the best Salon I’ve ever been to for quite some time. Sam always takes such great care and attention when she cuts my hair. It has such a lovely friendly feeling there, I genuinely have nothing negative to say (and I’ve given it thought!). Previous to my first visit there I had tried several salons in Sowerby Bridge and Halifax and none of them were as good (quality of hair cut or friendliness). I feel lucky to have found it.

The staff are always friendly, welcoming & so helpful which is so important. I’m disabled, & welcome the addition of the 2 grab handles at the show[ entrance . I wonder what other adjustments could be made? A ground floor loo would mean I could say yes to the offer of a cup of your lovely coffee! My first haircut with Debbie before the salon was opened, was done at her home. Although the salon has grown in appeal over the years, the basic welcome, care and concern, fun, interest in developing a genuine inclusive relationship with customers, have held firm. There is a whole range of skills on offer. Many of my friends love Zeitgeist for all these reasons. It’s an experience, I feel good all round and of course, the haircuts are beautiful. Sometimes appointments take longer than expected. I regard that as a bonus, but if you need to be somewhere else at a certain time, you need to tell the hairdresser.

Friends asked beforehand if I was nervous – not a bit… I knew I was in safe hands! Zeitgeist staff are all so lovely and make you feel very welcome. I’ve been twice to this salon, and I love the way there’s coffee and decent mags to read, and Amy takes time to find out what my needs are, which are unusual due to some difficult circumstances, and taking time to understand one’s needs really does make it more than a good haircut – and it IS a good haircut. None of us is ‘just a head of hair’ – the look and feel of one’s hair is a major plank in one’s wellbeing. I only wish it took a lot longer to do my hair, as I love being there!

The staff could not have been more helpful in trying to fit me in for apointments at short notice. The atmosphere of the salon is friendly, warm and intelligent. My daughter had her hair cut at Zeitgeist recently. She had very long hair and has had it cut into a shoulder length style. She says its the best hair cut she’s ever had! My own hair cut always looks good even a couple of months after having it done. I would definitely recommend Karen to cut anyone’s hair. I travel 25 miles to get my hair cut here.
