Flora’s Fringe
So another month’s been and gone here at Zeitgeist, and it’s been a very busy one too! We all dressed up for the Courier Business Awards (a black tie event I might add…!), very elegantly bundled ourselves into Debbie’s van and shot off to Barkisland for a very posh three course meal with champagne reception. We might have lost out on the actual award, but we definitely had a great night out!
My training is taking off too – having started on one length trims a few weeks ago, I’m now onto long layers, which is going brilliantly so far. Me, Karen and new starter Amanda all went to a Bumble and bumble continued education course in product knowledge, which was great and very informative – not to mention the fancy lunch! It really helped to see the products ‘in action’ when the educator brought in an unsuspecting member of the hotel staff as a model (“it’ll only take fifteen minutes!” he said…)
We’ve got much more coming up to look forward to, what with our Christmas Do (a Christmassy afternoon tea at the Lowry in Manchester), the lights festival, check out our fancy lanterns! and Amanda’s first week full time in the salon, so keep checking our Facebook for updates.
Last but not least, a very big well done to ‘Calder Valley Youth Theatre’ on their performance of Cats – a group of very dedicated and talented young people!
