Zeitgeist - The spirit of now

We are now rapidly approaching our THIRD Christmas as Zeitgeist Hair! Can you believe it?!

Time has absolutely flown by, and yet in such a short space of time, the salon is now firmly nestled on Carlton Street. And what a benefit to the street and town it is too! Beautiful shop front, gorgeous, luxurious products displayed in the window and proper fab and stylish clients (and staff!) going in and out of the front door…

One member of staff in particular (our super talented and professionally acclaimed Stylist; Karen), has been rocking a slightly different, but no less cool look, just of late.

She’s been having to stand a pace or two further back from the Belmont chairs. She’s also been in a slighter looser fitting “slack” than her usual skinny jean…

We are all very excited as Karen is expecting her first baby in January!

Therefore, Karen will be working her usual days in the busy run up to Christmas, but will be taking 4 months “off’ from the 22nd December. She will be back with us (for a rest!), from the 25th April and will then be working every Friday and Saturday.

LUCKILY, and with impeccable timing!; We have Sarah starting with us, Sarah has worked with the majority of the Zeitgeist Team while working at ‘Vidal Sassoons’, she left her Management position there only a year ago after having 2 children, but can’t wait to get back in the thick of salon life! During this time she set up her own business, travelling to do Wedding hair and so, we will be adding in an extra service. Sarah will be in the salon for a few days, prior to Christmas and will then settle into a regular slot, of Tuesdays and Sundays for 2014.

Lots of exciting times ahead!

We would also like to thank all those who attended yet another very successful Macmillan Coffee Morning. What with delicious refreshments and cakes, as well as beautiful crafts by the very talented Hannah, on offer; Yet again, the footfall up those stairs, and the chink of coins in the till, showed just what generous friends we have in the town!

But it’s not all been elasticated slacks and Victoria sponge… She may be partial to a Lady Grey tea bag, a yoga mat & her ‘llotment up on the tops; but habitually cool Debbie still knows how to work it down in the “Big Smoke”!

Debbie has just been to a unique hairstyling event in London. The extraordinary and amazing showcase called “Noise” has gained a reputation as THE event to be seen at, and our Debbie not only attended, but was lucky enough to then be backstage for the Sassoon show, and got to see all the behind the scenes excitement.

Debbie just can’t help but look the part though; Even though, having just text a friend and arranged to meet for a hot chocolate (yes! hot chocolate!!!), she was somehow accosted by a Russian lady and ushered to the front row of another show!

You just couldn’t make it up could you?!

Brace yourselves! I bet she’s full of inspiration!
