Heart Gallery will be Popping Up

Posted March 11th, 2016 by admin

We’re aware that it’s not so very long since our last newsletter, but we have a very exciting P.S. to attach!
POP UP Zeitgeist A4 Ross webFirst of all, (such a coup!) Over Easter, between Friday 26th and Sunday 28th of March, and Friday 1st and Sunday 3rd of April…. we’ve only gone and got Heart Gallery opening a pop up shop in the Zeitgeist attic!
POP UP Zeitgeist A4 Amanda webUnfortunately, Heart Gallery was devastated by the Boxing Day floods, but whilst work goes on to renovate the premises and return the gallery to its former glory; Heart is presently “popping up” at Abacus Framing in Mytholmroyd, and, over Easter…here!
POP UP Zeitgeist A4 Pippa webPOP UP Zeitgeist A4 Jane web

Exquisite prints by the super talented Kate Lycett, Julie Ogden and Clare Caulfield. Photo’s by Ross McGinnes, textiles by Jane Revitt. Amazing paper cuts by Pippa Dyrlaga and beautiful and coveted jewellery by Amanda Cox.
Do come along and have a browse, we’d all love to see you.
Secondly, when approaching Zeitgeist Hair, whether it be to visit the salon, or the pop up Heart Gallery; if you can just take your eyes up a few notches, passed the window display, tempting goodies, salon floor and beautiful Louise Lockhart windows – keep looking up, because there, on the horizon, something amazing is just emerging!
Not the lovely spring sunshine (though we definitely deserve some of that!), but something else…
A fantastic opportunity is emerging at Zeitgeist Hair for a new apprentice stylist!
Isabelle is now coming towards the end of her training. Her progress, confidence and enthusiasm is testament to the first class tuition she has received.
In the 18 months that she has been at the salon, Isabelle has not merely been progressing through the (rather intense) Sassoon “bible” of cutting/colouring techniques; She has fully emerged herself in salon life, and all that that entails.
This means that on completion of her training, just like the rest of the Zeitgeist team, she will not become complacent and expect to roll up to the salon, work her way through a client list whilst contemplating what to have for tea, and then clock off!
No, Stylists at Zeitgeist have a continuing passion for style, fashion and art, in all guises.
During Isabelle’s training she has been actively involved in 2 photo shoots and is planning another. She has also attended (and been inspired by) top class hair shows in Manchester and London.
Basic training has only been a foundation and the external inspiration reflected in Isabelle’s progress, as well as her commitment and passion for the industry, will be a definite prerequisite for any future apprentice.
This is an amazing opportunity! Spread the word!
