Zeitgeist - The spirit of now

Cake Sale and a Pop-up shop

Posted April 28th, 2019 by admin

Well, what a lovely April we have had with some incredible weather in Hebden Bridge; an amazing day for our annual duck race which will have been fabulous for our wonderful town with its independent shops and businesses. The door has been open at Zeitgeist, we have had an empty coat hook, Mel has had her splendid pins out and Chris has arrived at work without his hat; it can only mean we have reached double figures. We have also been creating some gorgeous haircuts and colour. Spring seems to be the perfect time to get yourself a new look and add some lighter tints to your hair, so if you feel it is time for a change we can help; call 01422 844974 or book online at www.zeitgeisthair.com  I have embraced a Spring change; Jane and Chris have helped me transfer from a greying brunette to blonde, so I will let you know if they have more fun…

In Salon news, we have some very exciting events happening at the end of this week; on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of May we will be hosting two events; a pop up shop in our upstairs space where there will be some fabulous pre-loved clothes to buy, brands include; Toast, Anthropologie, Jigsaw, Other stories, John Smedley and Nice things, all proceeds of which will be going to the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Kate Ives, a previous receptionist at Zeitgeist, will also be selling her silver jewellery, items include earrings, bangles, rings and necklaces. Not only can you buy some gorgeous items you can then be part of our cake sale, all the staff of Zeitgeist will be baking their signature bakes and for a donation, you can enjoy some homemade cake with a cup of tea or coffee. The cake sale is being held in order to fundraise for Beth (our amazing receptionist) who is raising money for Cancer Research in memory of a good friend she has recently lost, Tina Buzby (Nee Allen). Please pop in and have a browse at the great things to buy and enjoy a piece of cake for an incredible cause.

In product news, although I mentioned it in my last blog, I feel it is worthy of being mentioned again, especially as both stylists and clients alike are singing its praises. Selected stylists and colourists are now offering the Olaplex treatment. The treatment can be undertaken whilst you are having your haircut, with your colour or as a standalone treatment. It repairs hair and prevents further damage. If you are wanting to grow weak hair or your hair doesn’t feel as strong as it should after chemical processes or heat applications, this could be the perfect product for you. Ask if it would be beneficial for you when you next have an appointment with us or just pop in and we will advise you, in fact why not combine this with some shopping and cake on Friday or Saturday!

We I better be off to check the blonde theory……what fun thing can I try first; ironing the kids uniform, making their packed lunches, polishing their shoes…

Hope to see you for cake!!

Anne – Receptionist
