Zeitgeist is normally a welcoming salon offering a great coffee or tea, a fabulous cut or colour and an interesting chat; but for one Sunday recently it became the backdrop for a video shoot. For this day; I hung up my coffee making, hair sweeping, cake making, appointment booking, towel washing gloves and became a photographer’s assistant. Chris took on the (rather natural!) role of chief organiser, making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time and everything ran smoothly. Kaye became head of fashion bringing in a rail full of fabulous clothes for the models (lover of a bargain that she is, she dressed one of the models in the most gorgeous dress that cost the princely sum of 25p!). Debbie, Karen, Amy, Mel and Kaye created some incredible styles on a selection of amazing models who were extremely patient throughout the day and worked their magic in front of the camera. Jane had also worked tirelessly the evening before, transforming the hair colour of the models. The reason this all took place, was that we regularly like to showcase our skills and demonstrate our creativity. Normally we do this as a photoshoot and our previous collections can be seen at https://www.zeitgeisthair.com/2016/11/into-the-woods/. However, this time Debbie and the extremely talented Justin Garner (http://jags-photography.co.uk/) developed the idea of making a video with the theme of diversity and we are very excited to bring you the results of this in the very near future.
In Salon news, Debbie will be visiting India over the summer holidays. Chris will be here during that time and will be happy to see any of Debbie’s clients as will any of our Zeitgeist stylists. It may also be worth considering booking your September appointment with Debbie as her appointment schedule is beginning to book up.
In baking news, I have been a bit remiss at donning my apron, but don’t worry this will soon be rectified and I intend to bring in some of my wares in the near future.
In product news, alongside our usual selection of amazing bumble products, we have in stock some brilliant travel kits. These kits are perfect for a weekend away or for a holiday as they are smaller in size and are perfect to pop into your suitcase or overnight bag. We have a great little surf kit for creating beachy waves, which includes a surf spray and a leave-in surf styling crème. We also have a kit containing an invisible oil primer, surf spray and don’t blow it fine hair styler; this is great for people who to blow dry on some days and air dry on others, but still want to use a product.
The weather hasn’t been as good as we had hoped for this year, but nothing makes you feel perkier than a good cut or colour, so if you need some inner sunshine to counteract the grey skies above Hebden Bridge, please call 01422 844974 or book online at www.zeitgeist.com. Remember 15-minute consultations are free, just pop in or call to book one, we will be delighted to help you.
That’s all for now!
