Macmillan Coffee Morning this Friday and Saturday
India, Thailand, Turkey, Spain, Fowey and exotic Leyburn (that was me!), we have been to many far-flung places this summer and we hope you have had a brilliant one too. Debbie has come back much refreshed from her break in India and is brimming with lots of lovely new ideas for the salon. One of which is to celebrate the 9th anniversary of the salon opening by having a party to which you are all invited; save the date 28th March 2020 at the Trades Club with DJ Red Helen. Having had our summer holidays and recharged our batteries, we are really looking forward to creating some gorgeous looks for you. September is the perfect time to change your hair colour from sun-kissed tones to autumnal hues, so call 01422 844974 to secure an appointment with our colourists: Jane, Becky or Chris.
In Salon News, Debbie is working every Wednesday, Thursday and two Saturdays each month, her hours are between 9.00am – 6.30pm. If you haven’t seen Debbie for a while she will be delighted to see you and looks forward to welcoming old and new clients.
Karen is now working more days during the week and is now available every Tuesday and Friday.
Please be aware we do have a cancellation book, so if you have a particular date or stylist in mind and can’t get the appointment you want, ask to be put in it and we will call you if anything becomes available. Similarly, check out our facebook page as we post late cancellations on there too.
There has been lots of talk in the Salon regarding it, preparing for it and wondering if we are ready for it; no, it isn’t Brexit, it’s Christmas! We are already taking bookings and some days are already starting to fill up. So, if you want to ensure you are looking radiant on the day in question, Beth and I will be delighted to make your December appointment when you are next in the salon. Amy will be working some extra days and Chris will be working from the 3rd of December until Christmas, so as well as our dedicated team of colourists and stylists, this will enable us to provide you with extra availability during this busy period.
In Product News, Bumble and bumble have been very busy! We are currently trying their new Sumo Wax Finishing Spray which is great for people who like a more natural finish and want to add texture and oodles of shine to their hair. We are also very excited about their new Glow- range, we have been trying it and absolutely loving it. For those of you who have been blessed with thick hair, the Glow Blow Dry Accelerator is perfect for you as it halves your blow-dry time, whilst giving your hair heat protection. Bumble have also launched a bond-building styling product that can be used on air-dried hair or before blow-drying. It is ideal for colour treated hair or hair that would benefit from extra moisture, Debbie used it on my hair recently and it left my newly blonde hair feeling gorgeously silky and soft. The new products should be available to buy from Zeitgeist in early October, but please ask us about them when you are next in
In baking news, my children have reaped the benefit of my favourite hobby over the last six weeks, so now they are back at school I better turn my attention back to you! We will be hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th October, please call in and have some Cake and a Cuppa with us. https://coffee.macmillan.org.uk
I do like to produce a pumpkin based cake in October to celebrate the Hebden Bridge Great Pumpkin Festival. But, if in the meantime you just need cake, I recommend you pop over to Haworth and visit Number 10 The coffee house. I have heard incredible things about their delicious cakes, so maybe I will bump into you there! www.10thecoffeehouse.co.uk
Well that’s all for now!
