Zeitgeist - The spirit of now

Isolation Blogs

Hello everyone, hope you are remaining well in all areas of your life and managing to stay cheerful during these rather challenging times.

Since our last blog we understand more about when we will be able to open again and if we receive no further changes from the government, we will be ready to open from the 4th of July. We are currently putting further measures in places to adhere to social distancing and are converting the top floor of the salon to include workstations. This will enable us to space out our clients over three floors and we will be doing this alongside the measures we put in place before the lockdown; which include a rigorous cleaning programme, hand sanitiser for clients to use and obviously the opportunity to wash your hands continuously available. If you managed to have your hair done, the week prior to the governments announcement to close (Lucky you), Zeitgeist had displayed a salon policy. Where it is needed we will ensure that you have further guidelines prior to coming for your appointment at Zeitgeist Hair 🌞

In baking news, I was chatting with Anne and she has been trying to combine baking with home schooling. On Monday, she is tempting with her youngest son, to create the sinking of the Titanic with a cake Titanic and a meringue iceberg; wish her luck!! For anyone who wants to have a less adventurous baking experience and are enjoying walking and foraging, here are some great recipes to take advantage of the fast – approaching elderflower season. I would recommend the following recipes: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/homemade-elderflower-cordial  and https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/lemon_and_elderflower_15737. It is due to be lovely weather this week, so a glass of elderflower cordial and a slice of this delicious cake, may just be your ‘something good.’

We hope you are coping with your ever-growing hair, just hang on in there, try and think how fabulous you will feel when you can finally have it cut and coloured. Hopefully it may have given you sometime to think about what might work for you and maybe you fancy going for a whole new colour or cut, perhaps you like it longer or now realise short is the only way for you! We have all been educating ourselveswith online classes, so we cannot wait to make you look and feel fantastic again.

Here’s a little reminder…

I think we may all need some Eeyore wisdom, so here goes ‘It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine.’

Stay Safe
