Whatever you are be a good one
Hello again, it’s September and to any of you with school age children, well done, we made it, hurrah to days of shouting once again ‘put your shoes on, we are going to be late.’ We hope that you are all continuing to do well and keeping safe and thank you for your continued custom over the last few months and please come and see us if you haven’t already done so. The new procedures that we have in place at the salon is working really well and myself and Beth would love to book you in, so please call 01422 844974 or book online at www.zeitgeisthair.com.
For any of you have been with us from the start, you will be very familiar with our first receptionist, Kate. For a little while now we have known that she had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and sadly she passed away this week with her family beside her. When I used to come to Zeitgeist as a client I was always slightly in awe of Kate as she always looked so damned cool and more frustratingly appeared to get most of her clothes from charity shops. When she knew I had become the receptionist at Zeitgeist, she said one massive bonus of working there was that ‘walking up all the steps gave you a great arse!’ (I’m still waiting). She was a great force at Zeitgeist andkept everyone in order; as a lover of music, she would switch anything off if she didn’t approve of it. She was a brilliant, unique, funny, clever, creative individual, who we have all been proud to call a friend and have her as a work colleague. As I am writing this, someone on the radio has just quoted Abraham Lincoln who said ‘whatever you are, be a good one’ and that was certainly fulfilled by Kate.
I shall be writing again shortly to update you on product news and have a great blackberry recipe, so if you are walking around our lovely valley, take a bag and get picking.
Anne and the Zeitgeist Team.
