Zeitgeist - The spirit of now

Blue and Green

Posted June 11th, 2022 by admin

As I stand here and write this the salon door is open, I can see enough blue sky to make a pair of sailor’s trousers and the trees are in full greenery, it’s June! We have been busy in the salon over the last few months but still have some appointments available if you would like to put some colour into your life or some creativity into your cut; please call us on 01422 844974 or book online at www.zeitgeisthair.com
In product news, we have some great gifts for Father’s Day which is fast approaching. Our weDo shampoo bars are suitable for fine or normal hair or normal or damaged hair and won a Marie Claire Hair Award in 2021. They last up to 80 washes are vegan society certified, cruelty free international approved and are made with 99.8% biodegradable ingredients.

Bumble and bumble’s Sumo Clay is a lightweight, matt clay which gives hair texture and workable hold for a bulked up, broken- in look. Bumble and bumble products are also cruelty free. Both products are currently available to buy in the salon.

The Summer trends for hair for 2022 involve lots of natural movement; the layered shag, collarbone layered lobs and longer fringes that sweep to the side. To complement this Bumble and bumble are launching a new Surf wave texturing foam this month. This lightweight whipped foam creates instant lived-in texture with light hold, giving dry hair wind-styled beachy waves and effortless texture. It is also lightweight and pliable enough to help remould and rework your style throughout the day.
In baking news, I have recently made the most delicious upside down apricot cake, which is perfect served with amaretto cream.https://www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/upside-down-apricot-cake/. To take further advantage of the amazing fruits summer has to offer, why not have a go at this impressive but easy summer fruit mascarpone tart.https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/summer-fruit-mascarpone-tartI like to sit in the garden preferably with some sort of wafty skirt, eating some baked goods and thinking that I am living the life of the people who feature in Simple Things (lovely magazine we have in our Salon, June’s edition currently available).
In book news, we like to pass around our favourite books to one another and I was recently lent ‘The Midnight Library’ by Matt Haigh, which I thought was great and would highly recommend as a good read or a Father’s Day Gift. If any one of you have a good book or film recommendation, we would love to hear about it for our next blog, please email zeitgeisthair@gmail.com.
That’s all for now!
